Visit of Avila and Segovia
The city of Avila is one of the oldest of Spain, surrounded by magnificent fortification walls from the XI Century still in perfect state. Its central part has a large number of romanic churches and gothic palaces. The visit includes the exterior of the Cathedral, the Roman Basilic of San Vicente, the Plaza Mayor, as short Teresian route along the church of San Juan Bautista, Plaza de San Juan de la Cruz and the convente of Santa Teresa.
Segovia is rich in historical monuments, with the especially impressive Roman Aqueduct built in the times of Emperor Augusto. But also impressive are the Gothic Cathedral, last of this type built in Spain adn the spectacular Alcazar of the XI Century which was the fortified residence of the Catholic Kings of Castille. Lunch will be in Segovia, where you can choose between the tourist menu or the gastronomic menu, or even without lunch included.
Both Avila and Segovia are World Heritage Sites.
