Visit of Toledo, El Escorial and Valle de los Caidos

Toledo: At arrival we will make a brief stop at Reception "Toletum" with contemporary arquitecture. We will then continue with a panoramic visit and walk of the city where we will see the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and the gothic Cathedral, we will continue our walk along the Jewish Quarters full of narrow streets until we arrive in the church of Santo Tome, to see the wonderful paining to "The burial of Conde Orgaz", one of the best works of art of El Greco. We will also visit the Sinagogue of Santa Maria la Blanca, the Church of Juan de los Reyes and the Museum of Victorio Macho with wonderful views over the Tajo river. We will be able to view works from the famous sculptor and an audiovisual film about the city. Afterwards we will go to the factory of Damasquinado, with some of the best cratfswork typical of Toledo.

The Monastery of El Escorial: was built in the XVIth Century under the mandate of King Philipp II, and designed as a residence, monastery, and pantheon for the Royal Family. It became one of the symbols of the greatness of the old Spanish Empire.

The visit includes a tour of the Monastery, the Royal Palace, the Pantheon of the Kings and Dolphins, the Capitular Halls, the Hall of the Four Evangelists and the Basilica.

The Valle de los Caidos (Valley of the Fallen): is an impressive monument built in dedication to the victims of the Spanish Civil War of 1936-9. It is located in the beautiful Sierra of Guadarrama and is a colosal cross of 150 metres height with a basilica and mausoleum under it. The tour includes the entrance fee to the Valle and the interior of the Basilica.
